ABOUT REBECCA FENNELL
|
Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, Rebecca Fennell's passion for photography
started at age 12 when she was given her first camera. Africa's natural beauty and
wildlife provided her with ample material to fuel her photographic creativity and
Rebecca Fennell's quest to capture the perfect sunset continues!
Rebecca Fennell trained as a Cordon Bleu Chef which gave her the opportunity to work around
the world and enabled her to explore new places with her camera in-hand and further
develop her photographic talent. In 1997 after making the UK her permanent home,
Rebecca Fennell worked in the travel industry until she was made redundant post 9-11. This
proved to be a blessing in disguise because it was the catalyst that made her pursue
her creative dream and she studied photography at City & Guild where she passed
with top honours.
Although keen on most areas of photography, being a mother gives Rebecca Fennell an appreciation
of the patience required when working with young children and families and her approach
is to make the session as much fun as possible, resulting in lively and natural
pictures that capture the individuality of a child or family.
Her catering background and love of food made food photography an obvious choice.
She uses her experience with food to bring its textures, shapes and colours to life
in her tantalisingly delicious pictures.
